Agromyza drepanura Hering, 1931
This species was recently revived by Zlobin, 2000. Although confusions with the closely related Agromyza frontella and Agromyza nana a reliable identification is possible.
IMPORTANT CHARACTERS
Males: Surstyli with 9 - 10 spines.
Aedeagus as shown in the figure.
Cheeks (area immediately below the lower margin of eyes) very broad.
Both sexes: only a single ors (dorsal not converging frontorbital bristle).

BIONOMICS
Leaf miner.
HOST PLANT
Medicago sativa (lucerne, alfalfa).
DISTRIBUTION
Probably widespread in Europe, known from France, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia (Zlobin, 2000).
ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE
No damage reported so far, this species is only included because of probable confusions with Agromyza frontella.
