Pseudonapomyza zeae Spencer, 1973
As good diagnostic characters, Spencer mentioned both, the characteristic shape of the third antennal segment (Pseu zeae antenna Sp.pct) and the shape of the aedeagus (Pseu zeae aedeagus.pct).
IMMATURE STAGES
Puparium: Prothoracic horns of puparium present. Color rather lightish, locomotion welts present on sides and ventrally, not on the dorsal side. Segmental spines, characteristic for many Pseudonapomyza, missing at sides and restricted to the last segment and the dorsal and ventral surface of segments. Posterior spiracles with many bulbs, above the spiracle one pair of spines can be found. Below, there are at least 4 spines on each half.

HOST PLANTS
Zea mays (maize), most probably other poacean host plants.
DISTRIBUTION
So far only known from Ghana.
